65 -- ALPHA-1-ADRENERGIC BLOCKERS SOL M5-Q8-96 DUE 080396 POC Patricia Benson, Contracting Officer, 708-786-4926 Solicitation M5-Q8-96 will establish a VA National Contract for one of the following Alpha-1-Adrenergic Blockers with an/Approved indication for Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH): Doxazosin Mesylate or Terazosin. For the purpose of this acquisition, these agents are considered to be therapeutically equivalent. Only offers from contractors and/or suppliers that have an affirmative FDA Quality Assurance Evaluation will be accepted. If other than manufacturer, offeror must submit prior to award a copy of the signed agreement between the vendor and manufacturer covering the entire contract period. Solicitation is for one base year and four option years. Distribution to VA and other eligible facilities will be through the Pharmaceutical Prime Vendors. Numbered Note 12 (Trade Agrement Act) applies. The solicitation will be issued on or about 7/30/96.
