Kennedy, DASC-CPC, (703) 767-1176 The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) intents to negotiate on asole source basis with Wang Federal, Inc. To obtain ADP hardware and operating system software to provide support of the deca interim business system (dibs). Dibs is the interim business system being used by the defense commissionary agency (deca) to provide support to commissaries and central distribution centers, and runs on Honeywell bull DPS6000/34 and DPS 6000/222 equipment. In oconus, there are eight (8) systems that support the europeanregion: Five (5) DPS6 plus systems (Model 424) and one (1) DPS6000/624 (all in same location at kapaun air station, vogelweh), and two (2) DPS6000/222 (1-Lakenheath, UK; 1-Naples, It). Additionally, there are Six (6) DPS6000/222 systems located at kadena air base, Okinawa. In CONUS, there are seven (7) DPS6000/634 systems and five (5) DPS6000/222 systems. This requirement is to purchase one (1) DPS6000/634 system to replacea DPS6 plus system currently located at kapaun air station, vogelweh, Germany, and one (1) DPS6000/634 to replace the Six (6) existing DPS6000/222 systems located at kadena air base, Okinawa. The purchase should include installation and best commercialwarranty. Under this Solicitation DLA also intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Wang Federal, Inc. To obtain ADP hardware and operating system software for redesign of the current PC-based CONUS frequent delivery system (fds) for migration to the deca interim business system (dibs), and for simultaneous consolidation of store-level accounting functions toregion-level. This requirement is to purchase disk drives and line printers to support the redesign of fds/dsd for migration todibs, and consolidation of store-level . This purchase includes installation and best Commercial warranty. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. NO award will be made on the basis of any response to this AD.
