The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) intends to place a
delivery order with ISYX LAN Systems c/o Computer Networking & Process
ReEngineering Company, against their General Services Administrations,
Federal Infomation Processing contract schedule number GS-35F-3173D,
for the upgrade of the CUBIX Communication system. The following
specifications describes the hardware/software we would intend to
procure: Model# USR000476-0, QTY-2, US Robotics Total Control HUB, 16
slot, Managed Single Network Management Protocall (SNP)/Token ring,
Dual Load-Sharing Power Supplies; USR000668-0, QTY-2, 19'' Rackmount
Fan and Tray; USR000849-0, QTY-16, Quad Analog/Digital V.34 Modem Set
(Single board Compatible with all subordinate Bell, CCITT standards and
US Robotics dual standards); USR001092-0, QTY-1, US Robotics Total
Control Management Software, bundled with Novell Netware Mangement
Systems. All systems must be compatible with the existing communication
processor on the local area network in the Washington, DC Headquarters
office. All interested parties may submit detailed technical
specifications with itemized pricing to the FERC, Division of
Procurement, Information Resources Procurement Branch, 888 First
Street., NE, Rm 4J-02, Washington, DC 20426, Attn: Mary Anne Wright,
Contract Specialist, and must reference EADP-95-0251. NO TELEPHONE
REQUESTS WILL BE HONORED. No solicitation documents exists. The
Contracting Officer will determine after alternatives are received that
if in effect there is alternative sources available that can provide
the requested items as described at a more equitable price and would be
in the best interest of the Government, will provide a solicitation
document to those responsible sources submitting a request from this
synopsis notice. Those vendors determined responsible will receive a
soliciation document. If no alternatives are received within fifteen
days after this notice of intent is published and 30 days thereafter of
this notice, then FERC will place a delivery order with the intended
