the CBD Issue No. 1588 announcement that appeared on May 6, 1996. This
solicitation for the Study of Examination Outsourcing is a Small
Business Set-aside. The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA),
Office of Investment (OI) is soliciting a proposal for the study of
Examinations Outsourcing. The principle objective of this project is to
evaluate the alternative outsourcing Small Business Investments
Companies (SBIC) examination functions to private contracts. The study
should emphasize three types of SBIC's: a non-leveraged SBIC, a
debenture leveraged SBIC, and A Specialized Small Business Investment
Companies (SSBIC). The information will be used by SBA in formulating
agency policies. It is anticipated that the RFP will be issued O/A
07/29/96. The closing date for receipt of proposals will be O/A
08/29/96. Copies of the RFP will be provided upon written request only.
