Description of content: The following items subject to type approval are added to this revised draft: electric beds, noodle makers, electric massager for baths, high-pressure discharge lam ballasts, electronic glow starters for fluorescent lamps, T.V. image projectors, electric air-cleaners (without motor). The newly-established technical and testing requirements are added as follows: - Technical requirements for cable and wire made of a mixture of fireproof polyolefin with low toxicity; - requirements on safety for pressure of electric rice cookers; - cold-resistant test for electric instantaneous water heaters; - performance test for the door of microwaves. 7. Objective and rationale: To ensure consumer safety. 8. Relevant documents: The Electrical Appliances Safety Control Act.
