Title, number of pages and language(s) of the notified document: Revision of Quality Labelling Standards for Margarines (10 pages, available in Japanese). 6. Description of content: (1) To revise definition of fat-spread; (2) to add low-fat margarines to the coverage of the standards for margarines; (3) certain materials and food additives of margarines will be allowed in response to emerging new products. 7. Objectives and rationale: Protection of consumer's interests. 8. Relevant documents: The basic law is the Law Concerning Standardization and Proper Labelling of Agricultural and Forest Products.
