Transamerica Occidental Life Insurance Company (TOLIC) which currently is under contract with Health Care Financing Administration for Medicare Part B claims processing is requesting quotations for consultants to help edit and format the provider newsletter and billing manual. The publication entitled, ``Your Medicare Newsletter'' is sent to physicians and other health care professionals on a quarterly basis. The billing manual is published once a year. The information contained in the newsletter and billing manual is primarily used to facilitate the billing of health care services provided to Medicare Part B recipients. The software application used in developing and preparing the manual is Microsoft Word 6.0. Average page count is 40. Scope of work will include: editing selected articles and providing advice on creative formats for the entire newsletter. All copy must submitted to the printer within fifteen (15) days prior to mail date. Consultants must be available by November 1, 1996. Consultants must be able to perform work at TOLIC's site at 1149 S. Broadway, Los Angeles. Interested parties must respond in writing by August 1, to include the following information, evidence that they have editing and formatting experience, a timeline schedule outlining key deliverables, individual costs of key deliverables, samples of past products, and references listing clients willing to discuss their experiences. Responses will be reviewed and evaluated 70% on cost and 30% on meeting the specified scope of work. Quotations must be submitted no later than August 1, 1996.
