This is a Department of Defense Request for Information only. The DoD is in the process of planning the next generation of Managed Care Support (MCS) contracts. As part of this process, the Department is soliciting input from interested parties on the structure and content of the MCS contracts. The Department is interested in receiving information on potential changes to the structure of the current MCS RFPs, the specific content areas in the RFPs, the evaluation and award process, and the financing mechanisms in the MCS contracts. The Department has developed a set of approximately 20 issues on which it would like comments. Interested parties should request a copy of the full RFI. Later this year the Department plans to hold a number of forums to discuss the responses to the RFI and to solicit further input on the next generation of MCS procurements. The Department may be limit attendance at some of these forums to organizations who respond to this RFI. Thus, the Department urges interested organizations to request and respond to this RFI.
