The Federal Bureau of Prisons seeks to award a firm-fixed price contract to construct a 320 bed housing unit, expand and renovate the visitor center and expand and renovate the dining room. The project is located at the Federal Correctional Institution in Morgantown WV and will consist of constructing a 35,000 square foot dormitory housing unit; increasing the capacity of the visiting center by 2,600 square feet; and increasing the capacity of the dining room by 5,000 square feet. The magnitude of the project is between $5,000,000 and 10,000,000. The contract completion time is eighteen (18) months from date of award. This is an unrestricted solicitation. Plans and specs are anticipated to be available for issue on or about August 5, 1996, with a bid opening date 30 days later. A $125 non-refundable fee will be required for each set of plans and drawings. Each bidder requesting a solicitation package will be notified by this office prior to issuance, and given instructions for submitting the non-refundable fee to obtain a set of the bidding documents for this project.
