Work consists of furnishing all plant, labor, equipment, materials, and supervision to alter the existing HVAC control system and fire sprinkler system in Building 729 at McChord AFB to include the following: 1) conversion of existing HVAC control system to pneumatic/electronic control system using microprocessor based DDC devices. System will be stand alone system which will permit monitoring only by Base Central EMCS System; 2) existing fire sprinkler system will be expanded to include the entire building. A new larger water supply line will be installed to provide additional water supply capacity; 3) A portion of existing mechanical room will be partitioned off to create additional storage to include ventilation; 4) Exhaust ventilation will be provided in electrical equipment room; 5) Replacement of existing ceramic floor tiles at mens and womens shower rooms; 6) Replacement of existing vinyl resilient floor tiles with water resistant carpet; 7) Remove/replace acoustical ceiling tiles and drywall plaster ceiling and suspension systems where necessary; and 8) Convert part of existing mechanical room space into storage room. The magnitude of construction is between $100,000 and $250,000. Solicitation is expected to issue on or about 01 Aug 96 with a bid opening date projected to be 04 Sep 96. This solicitation is unrestricted. The Standard Industrial Code (SIC) is 1542 with an average gross revenue of $17 million for the last three fiscal years. There is a $41.00 non-refundable charge for each bid set. Payment in the form of a company check, certified cashier's check or US Postal Money order made payable to the Department of the Air Force must accompany each request.
