This procurement will be handled following the simplified acquisition procedures. No public bid opening will be held. Quotes are due in accordance with the solicitation. This is construction project #97-0009 which consists of furnishing all plant, labor, materials, equipment and performing all work in strict accordance with specifications, schedules and drawings forming parts thereof, for the Installation of an Uninterruptible Power Supply for the EMCS, Building 18. Work is to include the installation of an uninterruptible power supply and an automatic generator transfer switch. This work consists of the rerouting of an existing power supply together with all the equipment, connections and wiring required for this new installation. The work shall be performed by an electrical contractor who has five years experience in installing UPS and Automatic Transfer Switching. All work is to be accomplished in strict accordance with applicable DMA, EPA, NFPA, and OSHA requirements. The performance period is 126 days. The contractor shall be required to perform a certain amount of work on premium time to eliminate disruption of Government services. The approximate cost range is $25,000 and $100,000. The work shall be performed at Defense Mapping Agency located at 3200 South Second Street, St.Louis, MO. See Notes 1 and 26.
