The Marion VA Medical Center, Marion, Illinois contemplates a contract with General Electric, 2101 Executive Drive, #6, Hampton, VA for providing continuing upgraded technical services, testing, maintenance of General Electric medium and low voltage equipment including Tri-Annual Switchgear inspection. Electrical equipment shall include, but is not limited to, transformers, circuit breakers, air switches, relays, substation, low and medium voltage switchgear. Retrofitting these breakers in the past with other manufactures's modified components has required stocking of additional parts which have not performed as required resulting in safety hazards and numerous major interruptions of electrical service to the medical center.
