Sutherlin, Contracting Officer, (910)432-2146. This contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. This is a notice of intent to issue a sole source purchase order to Outboard Marine Corporation (OMC), Waukegan, IL, for the purchase of OMC parts for the 35 HP and 55 HP Outboard Motors (model numbers AM-35B/C and E55RWLENM), to include nuts, screws, washers, bolts, O-rings, gaskets, bearings, brackets, and seals. This equipment is compatible with the existing equipment already in use by the unit. All requests must be submitted in writing within 15 calendar days of the date of this CBD notice; reference RFQ number and title. No telephone requests for copies of the solicitation will be honored. Facsimile requests will be accepted; FAX number is (910)432-9345. All responses from responsible sources will be fully considered. As a result of analyzing responses to this synopsis of intent, the Contracting Officer may determine that a solicitation will be issued. If a solicitation is issued, no additional synopsis will be published. Any such solicitation will be issued to the intended vendor and all firms that respond to this synopsis of intent or otherwise request a copy of the solicitation. No contract award will be made on the basis of any responses to this notice, as the synopsis of intent shall not be considered a solicitation document. (194)
