The Defense Information Technology Contracting Office (DITCO), Scott AFB, IL, will procure through an electronic bulletin board, the Information Technology Acquisition Bulletin Board System (ITABBS), the following items: Maintenance of the following ENCORE Computer Corporation Hardware: 1 each 4P1MB GPC, Nucl Cab, 1 each 4P1MB GPC, Nucleus, 2 each 256 MB Exp Memory, 5 each 9U VME Dk 1.572GB, 6 each Mem Chan Extender, 10 each Refl Mem II Chan Adapter, 2 each Mem Chan II Terminator, 1 each Multi-port Ethernet Trans, 1 each System Console Pkg, 2 each Terminal Server, 6 each Add Storage Channels, 15 each Storage Array 4 GB, 2 each Infinity 90 4P1MB ICC Cab, 4 each VME BSC/SDLC, 2 each Peripheral Cabinet, 1 each SCSI Chassis, 1 each 125 IPS Tri-Density SCSI Tape Drive, 6 each VME Ethernet Cont, 2 each VME Serial Syn Cont, 1 each Infinity 90 IC/SC Nucl cab, 6 each Mem Channel Extender, 2 each VSSC RS-232 Transition Panel to be delivered to the Defense Megacenter Oklahoma City, Tinker AFB OK. Performance period 01 Oct 96 through 31 Mar 97, 24 hours per day and 7 days per week with two hours response time for on call site maintenance. The anticipated RFP release date is 09 Aug 96 with proposals expected to be due on 20 Aug 96. Vendor proposals in response to this RFP must be received in hard copy. Vendors will be able to dial into the electronic ITABBS, and download the RFP, check the status of the RFP, submit questions, receive amendments and other RFP related correspondence. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered. Information from the electronic bulletin board system will either be in ASCII or Microsoft Word for Windows 6.0 format. RFPs are usually a compressed (PKZIP) MS Word file requiring you to have compatible software to extract the file. The ITABBS can be accessed by any FIP vendor through standard hardware and software. To access ITABBS, the necessary communications parameters are 8 data bits, no parity, 1 stop bit, with modem speeds of 1.2 - 14.4 KBPS. ITABBS requirements will remain posted until the deadline has passed for submission of vendor proposals.
