Office of Chief Counsel has a requirement fo a commercial
state-of-the-art matter tracking software product. An off-the-shelf
replacement for the present Case Management Information System
(CMIS-II) is required. CMIS-II is used to track, manage, and report the
3000 claims, appeals, and civil litigation workload presently handled
by the Corps of Engineers world-wide. CMIS-II currently contains COBOL,
C & UNIX programs. The replacement system will operate in a
client-server environment with the corporate database residing on a Sun
SPARC 1000 System running Solaris 2.4 Operating System and Oracle 7.1.4
as the RDBMS. The system should operate with drop down menus and point
- highlight - click functionality, to foster ease of use by the USACE
counsel community. The system should provide management reports
ranging from retrieval of data concerning specific matters to
statistical information and textual/narrative data based on
user-defined criteria. Also the system must respond to user ad hoc
matter inquiries and provide for cross-tabular statistics based on
user-supplied search criteria. The system should also have the ability
to provide detailed help at any given function. All responsible
sources to submit a proposal will be considered by this agency. All
