The SIC Code is 7375. Pending Delegation of Procurement Authority, the DHHS/DAM/ADP Acquisitions Branch, Rockville, Maryland, intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for an organization located within a fifteen (15) mile radius of 200 Independence Avenue, SW, Washington, DC, that will provide all necessary labor, materials, supplies and facilities for program support of the Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion (ODPHP). The Contractor shall develop publications, periodicals and educational materials diverse in style and format, based on desktop publishing; disseminate information about disease prevention and health promotion; and support ODPHP initiatives, including Healthy People 2000 and Healthy People 2010. Specific products to be developed include a quarterly Prevention Report, Healthy People 2000 Consortium Exchange, Progress Reviews, Fact Sheets, brochures, reports and resource lists. The Contractor shall develop electronic publications for dissemination on the Internet. Other responsibilities include: maintenance of a contact data base of approximately 14,000 entries for the ODPHP mailing list to assure efficient dissemination of information; design and preparation of exhibit materials for display at conferences and meetings; warehouse and distribution of materials for ODPHP; and, support for a variety of activities related to national health promotion and disease prevention. The Contractor shall have the computer resources to perform administrative duties, warehouse operation, print and electronic publication, and communication. The anticipated period of performance shall be one (1) twelve-month base period and four (4) twelve-month option periods. The RFP will be available approximately fifteen (15) days after issuance.
