The Internal Revenue Service proposed to contract by negotiation for public transportation vouchers (Metrocheks). These Metrocheks will be used to provide reduced fares aboard public transportation components for employees living in Environmental Protection Agency designated ''severe areas'' and working in the Washington, DC, commuting area. The period of contract performance shall be from October 1, 1996 through September 30, 1997, plus four one year options. Negotiations shall be conducted on a sole source basis with the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority, 600 5th Street, NW Washington, DC 2001. Note 22 applies. (0198)
