and Technology (NIST) intends to modify contract 50SBNB4C8305 to
incorporate a follow-on project to examine and assess the impact of the
NIST Manufacturing and Extension Partnership (MEP) program on
industrial modernization service provision and service providers in the
U.S. This work will build on deliverables already completed. The
Contractor is Georgia Tech Research Corp., Georgia Institute of
Technology, Atlanta, GA. The project will assess the impacts of service
coordination on centers and firms and refine and disseminate
recommendations for best practices in service coordination. A final
study report will be produced and delivered to NIST/MEP no later than
September 15, 1997. This is not a request for proposals; no
solicitation document is available. NIST intends to negotiate on a sole
source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. See Numbered Note 26.
