The purpose for this modification is to including the following information: If the apparent low bidder is a large business firm, a subcontracting plan is required. The following items are proprietary in the specification: 1. Magnetic Cardstripe Reader System - This system shall consist of the follwing components: Lock Electronics, Suite Entrance Door System - Lock Electronics shall consist of microptocessor based magnetic stripe cardreader capable of decoding card data to grant or deny access and shall require the following standard capabilities: (a) The reader shall allow eleven (11) levels of keying to include: Guest, Guest backup, Maid, Housekeeper, Engineering, One-shot, 3 levels of Sub Master, a Grand Master and Emergency. (b) Special lockout keying shall include Guest Lockout, Display, Programmer, Interrogator and Time Set. (c) Emergency override of extended deadbolt will require the use of a valid emergency keycard. (d) The use of Guest Lockout card shall disable the access privileges of the previous guest until a new guest checks in. (e) Unlock time shall be user-settable from 4 to 8 seconds. (f) Reader shall be powered by 8 AA alkaline batteries,. (g) In the event of battery failure, the reader shall allow access with an external power booster and valid key card. Power Supply - Batteries shall be supplied as standard with the system and shall operate for a minium of 6500 card insertions (with a 4 second unlock time) or 1 year of operation, whichever comes first. Finish - Finish to be 626, satin chrome plated. Exterior finish to be 630, satin stainless steel. Lockset - For the purposes of providing a lockset compatible with the computer system being purchased under another contract, the following products has been specified: ''Yaletronics 3122 Guest Room Lock''. Notwithstanding any other provision of the contract, no other product will be acceptable. Keycards - Provide manufacturer's keycards which have a low coercivity magstripe, non-aba standard (high security, encrypted). Keying - Provide one set of pre-encoded construction keys. This set shall operate the same as guest level so as to be able to ''key'' out different trades as jobs are completed. Electrionic key records are generated independetly by the Yalestronics computer system after installation at each property site. Yalestronics computer system is not a part of this contract. (2) Manufacture and Window Components - All new windows and accessories shall match existing, notwithstanding any other provision of this contract, no other product is acceptable. Window manufacturer is Efco, window series 670 DH-HC-65, including, but not limited to, the following: (a) Double insulaed glazing shall be provided and installed in the factory, in accordance with Section 08800, ''Glazing''. (b) Screens shall be 1/2 aluminum mesh 18 by 16, color charcoal. (c) Interior jamb shall be Efco 1153/1154 and sill shall be Efco EH-38 or 670 sill $6023. (d) Balances shall be block and tackle, with interior glazing beads. (e) Head and sill locks shall be Efco standard spring-loaded and meeting rail standard white bronze cams. Frame filler shall be Efco LB-72 at head only. (f) Window sash rated to conform with AAMA 902. NO OTHER CHANGES (0198)
