PRESOLICITATION NOTICE. Eglin AFB FL has a requirement to Repair/Replace HVAC, Building 55, Eglin AFB FL. Bid opening date of 16 Sep 96 is only an estimated date. In general, work will consist of removing an existing air handling unit, a cooling tower, a propeller fan, some piping with asbestos-containing insulation, pneumatic controls, and ductwork at various locations throughout the building. The new work will consist of providing and installing two air handling units with heating and cooling coils, a new cooling tower, a new propeller fan, and new piping with insulation. The new work also includes changing the controls on several existing chillers, air handling units, and all of the buildings' variable air volume (VAV) boxes from pneumatic to direct digital controls. The new work will also include balancing the entire building air handling system. In one room of the interior of the building, a new concrete block partition wall is to be constructed. Estimated dollar range is between $100,000 and $250,000. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency.
