406/329-3769 The Forest Service requires asphalt patching, paving,
application of seal coat, and chips on approximately 4.5 miles of
existing asphalt. Other associated work items include ditch cleaning,
or reestablishment of ditches where vegetation or embankments have
encroached on them. Require excavation and replacement of subgrade and
asphalt on approximately 300 feet of lane, and an overlay of asphalt
as a leveling course on approximately 6500 feet of lane. The entire 4.5
miles will then have a double chip seal coat, and the road will then be
striped. The project is located on the Superior Ranger District, Lolo
National Forest, Mineral County, Montana. Bids are due September 4,
1996. The work is estimated to start October 1, 1996. Contract time
will be 400 calendar days. The estimated price range is between
S100,000 and S250,000. All responsible sources may submit an offer
