14 -- SLAM-ER LOW RATE INITIAL PRODUCTION REQUIREMENT POC Contact, Linda Mobley, Phone (703)604-0757 Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to negotiate and award a contract for FY97 Standoff Land Attack Missiles-Expanded Response (SLAM-ER) modification kits for Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP) I and II. This modification will include the requirements for approximately twenty-three (23) SLAM-ER retrofit kits for LRIP I and an option for approximately twenty-three (23) additional SLAM-ER retrofit kits for LRIP II. Requirements include: all installation associated to the SLAM-ER modification kits, Manufacturing and Sustaining Engineering Support Services; Integrated Logistics Support Services; Technical and Administrative/Financial Data. NAVAIR intends to negotiate this procurement with McDonnell Douglas Corporation, McDonnell Douglas Aerospace, P.O. Box 516, St. Louis, MO 63166-0516. McDonnell Douglas is the sole developer, designer, and manufacturer of the SLAM-ER Weapon System and the only known firm with the necessary knowledge, data, equipment, facilities, and experience to perform this effort within the required timeframe. - NAVAIR Synopsis No. 40058-96.
