The FBI intends to negotiate with Racal Communications, Inc. on a sole source basis for a Firm Fixed Price Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity production contract for Minature Secure Hand-Held Radios. This contract is a follow-on to a previously awarded contract and will be for one year with four option years. Requested radio must meet but is not limited to the following minimum requirements: Type I NSA approved cryptography; 12 and 16 kilobits data/CVSD clear analog and clear digital operation; 136 to 174 MHz; one to five watts adjustable power output, maximum size is 2.625'' W x 3.75'' H x .875'' D -- not including battery and antenna; Federal Standard compliant. Contract will guarantee a minimum of 500 Miniature Secure Hand held Radios. The radio must be endorsed by the National Security Agency no later than 60 days after award of contract.
