(410) 966-9310 The contractor shall provide all of the necessary
supervision, labor, travel, parts and materials to repair defective
Federal Pacific Electric (FPE), General Electric (GE) and Siemens
breakers at the Social Security Administration, National Computer
Center, 6201 Security Boulevard, Baltimore, Maryland for the annual
building shutdown, the weekend of September 20, 1996. The contractor
shall also provide repair and maintenance service during the course of
the year on an as needed basis. The simplified acquisition will be for
one (1) year. The contractor shall have five (5) years field experience
in the testing and maintenance of high and low voltage breakers and
controls for high and low voltage switchgears. The contractor's
personnel shall have three (3) years field experience in the testing
and maintenance of high and low voltage breakers and controls for high
and low voltage switchgears. The contractor will be required to have
two (2) technicians on site during the annual building shut down
weekend. The shutdown will be from Friday midnight to Monday morning (6
a.m.). The technicians shall be available 24 hours around the clock,
during the shut down and have a thirty (30) minute response time to the
National Computer Center. All requests must be in writing. Request may
be faxed. No phone request will be accepted. The anticipated date for
release of the RFQ is August 5, 1996. Respondents should refer to
synopsis no. SSA-RFQ-96-2723. All interested parties must respond
