The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to procure technical and engineering support for the MK 81 MOD 0 Guided Missile Group for FY 97 with four (4) one (1) year options for the AEGIS Program. NAVSEA anticipates a limited competition between Lockheed Martin, Defense Systems, Pittsfield, MA 01201 and Loral Defense Systems - East, Great Neck, NY 11020. These companies are the only qualified producers of the AEGIS D/DC equipment. They are the only sources with the knowledge, experience, and resources to perform the work described.
