Under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1), FAR 6.302-1, the National Institutes of Health, (NCI) intends to procure consulting services from Dr. Edison Liu, University of North Carolina University at Chapel Hill. Dr. Edison Liu has recently been selected as the Director of Clinical Sciences, NCI. This selection resulted from a competitive personnel process which involved a nationwide search. Since it will take several months to effect his position. The Institute needs the services of Dr. Liu to assure continuity and also to provide him with time to assess the needs and scientific efforts of the Clinical Sciences Program. This is a notice of intent it is not a request for competitive proposals. However, interested parties may submit a statement of capabilities.
