The project consists of furnishing manpower, materials, equipment and supervision necessary for the construction of an approximately 20,000 square foot USPS-owned building on a 3.3 acre vacant lot located near the intersection of Third Avenue and Chestnut Street, Collegeville, PA to be designated the new Main Post Office (MPO). The contractor shall be responsible for the construction of the MPO containing a Postal Store, a general workroom, storage and maintenance areas, offices, toilet rooms, and loading docks. Site work includes site grading, site security, storm water drainage facilities, a 300 foot long access lane, customer parking for 22 vehicles and USPS vehicle and employee parking for 80 vehicles. The established range is $1,500,000 to $2,250,000 with completion of work within 270 days. Proposals are due by 4:00 pm on Thursday, August 29, 1996.
