Contracting Officer, Douglas Hyde-Sato, 909-884-6634, ext. 3095 Project consists of the construction of approximately 1,570 lineal feet of tinted concrete walkway through an existing established interpretive site with existing native pathways. Approximately 910 lineal feet of the new walkway (easy access) shall be constructed for wheelchair access with maximum grades not exceeding 5%. The remaining concrete walkways approximately 623 lineal feet (moderate access) shall be constructed over the remaining existing native pathways which contain grades between 4% and 10%. This work will also include all construction staking and vertical grade control to insure that the designated grades are adheared to. Additional concrete slab work will be for the construction of 2 - approximately 30 feet diameter circular pads for an entry and ramada node. Approximately 3 additional (20 feet diameter) half circular pads will be constructed for general seating areas adjacent to the concrete walkways. Off site borrow material will be needed (approximately 110 cubic yards from a local D.G. site located approximately 800 feet southeast of the station entrance road) for minor grade adjustments needed for the construction of the easy access trailway (wheelchair access), including backfill for portion of new parking area. Also included will be the construction of a native surface parking area (approximately 15 vehicles and 2 bus spaces) located adjacent to an existing paved road. Contractor inspection responsibilities shall also be included as part of the contract work. Project is located in San Bernardion County, California. SIC 1629.
