This action originally published in the CBD on July 15, 1996, is being modified to change: (1) the Federal Supply Code (FSC) from Y142, Construction of Laboratories & Clinics, to Z142, Repair of Laboratories & Clinics; and the estimated cost of the project between $500,000 and $1 Million to between $1 Million to $5 Million. The following information is reprinted for information: The proposed contract is unrestricted. Work consists of providing ventilation and air conditioning systems for the morgue and anatomical pathology laboratory, and additional cooling for various other laboratory areas. Work to include A/C installation, associated plumbing, piping and ducting appurtenances, electrical support, lighting, construction of gypsum board partitions, ceiling removal and replacement, and roofing work. The estimated cost of the proposed project is between $1 Million and $5 Million. Solicitation to be issued O/A August 6, 1996. Documents to be available at $138.00 per set of specifications and full-size drawings or $129.00 per set of specifications and half-size drawings. Single copies of specifications may be purchased by interested applicants for $54.00. Full-size drawings alone may be purchased for $84.00 a set. Half-sized drawings alone may be purchased for $75.00 a set. Payment (send to Finance and Accounting Officer, U.S. Army Engineer Division, Pacific Ocean, Building 230, Fort Shafter, Oahu, Hawaii 96858-5440) must accompany request. Checks and money orders to be made payable to the U.S. Army Engineer Division, Pacific Ocean. Payment will not be refunded and specifications and drawings need not be returned. This is an unrestricted procurement, but small and disadvantaged firms are encouraged to participate as prime contractors or as members of joint ventures with other small businesses and all interested contractors are reminded that the successful contractor will be expected to place subcontracts to the maximum practicable extent with small and disadvantaged firms in accordance with the provisions of Public Law 95-507.(0199)
