Provide all materials, equipment, transportation and perform labor to install an 8 inch sanitary sewer line along Hangar III, and connect to existing sanitary services, including, but not limited to, connecting sanitary sewer services to existing sanitary sewer line located at Hangar II. Work is located at U. S. Coast Guard Support Center, Kodiak, Alaska. Solicitation to be issued on or about August 6, 1996. Estimated cost range for this contract is between $25,000 and $100,000. The time for completion is within 90 calendar days after receipt of award. Award is subject to the availability of funds. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the U. S. Coast Guard. Requests for bid documents must be submitted and received by this office not later than August 5, 1996. This procurement is being issued pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. For Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business utilization (OSDBU), has programs to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short term working capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, performance and payment bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80% guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
