Odom,404 /331-5844 Pre-Solicitation Notice-This project is located at the Federal Building/ Custom House in Charleston, SC. This project involves the upgrade of mechanical asnd electrical systems in the building. This upgrade includes the removal and replacement of the boiler, chiller and air-cooled condenser fan coil units, pumps, and all hydronic piping. Additional work involves the installation of outside air ducts and fans in the basement and attic to serve the first and second floors. Asbestos abatement is required in the basement on the boiler stack, boiler breaching and insulation, low pressure steams lines, and some hydronic piping elbows and runs. Electrical work includes new panels, main switch gear, and work associated with new mechanical work. Government bid acceptance time will be ninety (90) days. Anticipated solicitation issue date is August 12, 1996. Specifications and Plans will be limited to three (3) sets per contractor base on availability.
