the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written
solicitation will not be issued -- This procurement is being conducted
under the Simplified Acquisition Threshold (SAT) portion of the
Federal Acquisition Streamlining Act (FASA) -- The provisions and
clauses in the RFQ are those in effect through FAC 90-34: This
procurement is a total small business set-aside-- Delivery to MSFC (FOB
Destination) is required within 30 days ARO -- The quoter shall provide
a description (including manufacturer, brand, and model no.) in
sufficient detail to show that the product quoted meets the
specifications included in this notice -- If the end product(s) quoted
is other than domestic end product(s) as defined in the clause
entitled ''Buy American Act -- Supplies,'' the quoter shall so state
and shall list the country of origin -- The quoter shall state in their
quote their size status for this procurement as well as whether they
are minority or woman-owned -- The SIC code and the size standard for
this procurement are 3826 and 500 employees) respectively -- The quoter
shall identify place of performance in their quote - - The DPAS rating
for this procurement is DO-A7 -- Questions regarding this acquisition

basis) to the lowest priced, technically acceptable quoter -- Technical
acceptability will be determined by information submitted by the quoter
providing a description in sufficient detail to show that the product
quoted meets the Government's requirement -- The period of time
expected for the Contracting Officer to solicit/evaluate vendor quotes
and issue the purchase order will be approximately 15 days from
publication of this notice in the CBD -- An ombudsman has been
appointed to hear concerns from offerors, potential offerors, and
contractors during the preaward and postaward phases of this
acquisition -- The purpose of the ombudsman is not to diminish the
authority of the contracting officer or the selection official, but to
communicate concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations of
interested parties to the appropriate Government personnel and to work
to resolve them -- When requested, the ombudsman will maintain strict
confidentiality as to the source of the concern -- The ombudsman does
not participate in the evaluation of quotes, the source selection
process, or the adjudication of formal contract disputes -- Interested
parties are invited to call the installation ombudsman, Susan M. Smith

which cannot be resolved at the installation may be referred to the
