This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the Format in FAR Subpart 12.6, supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. II. This solicitation number N00600-96-R-3499 is issued as a request for proposal (RFP). III. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 37. IV. This soliciation is unrestricted. SIC 3829. V. A list of contract line item number(s) and items, quantities and units of measure, (including option(s), if applicable) are: CLIN 0001 Electrodynamic Shaker System - Quantity 1. VI. Description of requirements for the items to be acquired. The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Norfolk Detachment Washington intends to procure an Electrodynamic Shaker System for the Naval Aviation Depot, Marine Corps Air Station, Cherry Point, NC. The requirement includes all parts, shipping expenses, labor costs and standard commercial warranty. The requirement is only for the supplies and quantity listed in Section V. Supplies provided by CLIN 0001 and must meet the following minimum specifications: Electrodynamic Shaker System with the following specifications - Approximately 1200 force pounds peak sine output, shaker must be capable of providing up to 6 G RMS over the frequency range of 20 to 2000 Hz with a 35 pound load (not including fixture and shaker head), 600 pound manual table load system, 2 inch continous displacement, approximately 12 inch outer diameter bolt circle, floor vibration isolation system, solid state power console, blower motor for heat dissipation, PC controller system with random vibration software, 2 accelerometers with cables, 4 channel charge converter for accelerometers, and a shaker table weight not to exceed 1500 pounds.
