This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; bids are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation M67400-96-B-A006 is issued as an invitation for bid (IFB). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-37 and Defense Federal Acquisition Circular 91-9. CLIN 0001 - Bleachers, quantity - 2 sets. Bleachers, mobile, electric, telescopic forward folding, wall attached with end rails, and end panels, foot level aisles. Type: Power operated with automatic and positive locks for each row in the extended position without the use of floor plates or shoes. Quantity: Banks - 2, Sections per Bank - 4. Total number of sections - 8, Rows per section - 20. Sections: Open dimensions - 53 feet and 4-3/4 inches, Closed dimensions - 4 feet 2 inches. Seat spacing: 33 inch span. Rise per Row: 10 and 1/4 inches. Length: 1 set of 4 sections: minimum 79 feet; maximum 80 feet (includes - end rails for each section). Seating: Plastic, modular seating, 12 inches width x 18 inches length, color: Dark Blue, Material. High density polyethylene structural foam. Power: Floor traction power system type, fully automatic, electrically operated, forward and reverse operation from any position, removable walk along switch, plugs into front of first row. Drive unit: 2 each per section (8 per set, 16 total), 110 volt, single phase, minimum capacity. 1/4 HP per motor, Cylinders per unit - 2 each, Cylinder diameter. Manufacturer's standard, Cylinder material - heavy non-marking rubber bonded to metal cylinder, Unit speed - Manufacturer's standard. Wheels: Heavy duty non-marking rubber wheels with metal bearings. Frame: High tensile steel framework, Dimension. Minimum 2 inches by 3 inches steel tubing. End rails: Self storing, non-removable end rails - 10 sets, 42 inches high, steel material. End panels: 2 end panels for each set of bleachers; Each set of 4 sections shall have end panels on each end. Foot level aisles with abrasive treads - 8 sets. Manuals: 1 set shall provide information for the following items: Bleachers, End rails, End panels, Power system and Installation. All bidders must furnish descriptive literature with their bids and must comply fully with FAR clause 52.214-21. If bidders intend to modify their products to conform to the salient characteristics in this specifications, bidders are especially cautioned to clearly mark their descriptive literature to reflect those modifications. Manual set shall consist of: Warranty Manual. 1 copy per item, parts Manual - 2 copies per item, Operation Manual - 2 copies per item, Maintenance and Repair Manual - 2 copies per item, and Installation Manual - 2 copier per item. All items shall be delivered FOB Destination to Point of Embarkation: DDRW San Joaquin Site, RPC Oconus, Central Receiving Bldg #330, Lathrop, CA 95331 or F.O.B. final destination, Okinawa, Japan. Mark the shipment for: Receiving Officer, Building #5969, MCB Camp Smedley D. Butler, Okinawa, Japan. Required delivery time is 160 days after notification of award.
