Doxtater, 706-731-7160 Furnish A/E services for replacing Nurse Call System, Project Number 509-96-114, Downtown Division, VA Medical Center, Augusta, Georgia. Contract shall be for the development of 100% design, specifications and cost estimate. Firms must be familiar with the design and construction of state-of-the-art nurse call systems and their installation in a hospital setting, especially VA Medical Centers. Firms must have a registered electrical engineer on staff. Specifications must be provided on 3 1/2'' floppy disks in Word Perfect 5.1 format and drawings must be provided on 3 1/2 floppy disks in Autocad Release 12 format. Area of consideration - firms located within a 100 mile radius of Augusta, Georgia. Evaluation factors: (1) Professional qualifications necessary for satisfactory performance of required services; (2) Specialized experience and technical competence in the type of work required; (3) Capacity to accomplish the work in the required time; (4) Past performance on contracts with Government agencies and private industry in terms of cost control, quality of work, and compliance with performance schedules; (5) Location in the general geographical area of the project and knowledge of the locality of the project; (6) Demonstrated success in prescribing the use of recovered materials and achieving waste reduction and energy efficiency in facility design; and (7) Acceptability under other appropriate evaluation criteria.
