The Forest Service is seeking proposals for the performance of an ethnographic study in the area of the Sandia Mountains, Sandia Ranger District, Cibola National Forest. The study is to be conducted in two phases. The purpose of Phase I is to gather general data regarding traditional uses and traditional values pertaining to the Sandia Mountains. The purpose of Phase II is to use a portion of the information gathered during the first phase to identify and document specific locations within Las Huertas Canyon which qualify as traditional cultural properties per guidelines in National Register Bulletin 38. Amendment to CBD notice dated 06/11/96.
