Furnish and install roof-mounted air-conditioning systems in the following existing military vehicles. (1) 4-ea Chevrolet Flight-line step-vans with gasoline engines. The air conditioning unit shall not be rated at less than 13500 BTU/hr. Controls and vents will be mounted to the ceiling of the step-vans. The air conditioning unit is required to operate for extended periods in remote locations while the vehicle drive engine is not operating. (a generator is required). (2) 11-ea aircraft refueling tanker trucks with diesel engines and 12 volt systems. The air conditioning unit shall not be rated at less than 24000 BTU/hr. Refuelers require an engine driven compressor, a roof mounted condensor and shroud, and area cab mounted blower housing with directional vent diffusers and controls. The work must be performed on the AZANG base located at 1500 E Valencia Rd, in Tucson AZ. The Refuelers may be fully fueled while the work is to be accomplished and will require additional safety requirements to ensure the safety of workers.
