Request for proposals (RFP) for the Operation of the Montgomery Job Corps Center located in Montgomery, Alabama will be available approximately August 2, 1996, for issue in response to written request. The contractor shall provide Academic and Vocational Training, operate a Counseling and Residential Living Program, and operate the following support services: Health Services, Processing of Student Records, Discipline System, Clothing Issue, Mail Services and other applicable services. The contractor shall provide overall Center Management and Administration as follows: Contract and Personnel Administration, Staff Training, Financial Management, Procurement and Property Management, Facility Operations and Maintenance, Security and Safety Services, Community Relations and Public Information. It is anticipated that the resultant contract will cover the period May 1, 1997 through April 30, 1999, plus three governmental unilateral renewal options of one year. The approximate average capacity strength is 322 students, (students consisting of 132 residential males, 132 residential females, 15 non-residential males and 43 non-residential females). A Pre-Proposal Conference for the Job Corps Center will convene at 9:00 a.m. on August 7, 1996, in the Governor's House Hotel, 2705 E. South Blvd, Montgomery, Alabama 36116, (334) 288-2800. A site-visit of the facility will convene at 1:00 p.m. on August 7, 1996 at the Montgomery Job Corps Center, 1225 Air Base Boulevard, Montgomery Alabama 36108. Interested firms should limit their attendance to no more than three persons. Upon entering the facility, participants must report and register with a Government official.
