The project consists of, but is not limited to the following: site demolition of catch basin, fencing, and bituminous paving and curbs. Selective demolition of interior ceilings, walls. CMU walls, roof, doors and hardware for reuse, insulated metal panels for reuse, and metal studded walls. Excavation and backfill including trenching for footings and utilities. Paving and surfacing of both asphalt and concrete walks. Parking lot painting and sealing. Storm drainage, including piping, catch basin, manholes, and detention tank. Installation of chain link fence and guard rail. Landscaping with grass, trees and shrubs. Concrete work for footing, site wall, wall footings. slab on grade and stair. Installation of 4'' to 12'' CMU's. Structural steel, joists, metal roof and form deck, and steel pipe railing. Miscellaneous wood blocking, roof curb, exterior plywood, wall bumper and trim. Built-up roofing (20 year 4-ply warranty), roof insulation, pitch pockets, insulated metal panel, other insulation of walls and slab. Finishes include metal stud walls, acoustical ceiling system, vinyl comp. tile flooring, cove base and carpet. Painting of interior walls, block filler, doors and frames and exposed structure. Provide and install fire extinguishes, toilet room accessories (handicap accessible, RE-4), and lookout gallery floor observation units. Provide and install new HVAC for expansion. Modify and/or install plumbing. Install new sprinkler system to total facility. Electrical work includes some demolition of existing system. New work includes providing extended service to new construction, panel board, disconnect switches, T-8 lighting using 1 x 4 and 1 x 8 fixtures, emergency lighting units, switches, receptacles, remote lighting, etc. The established range is $600,000 to $650,000 with completion of work within 224 days. Proposals are due by 4:00 PM on Friday, August 16, 1996. The package will be available on or about July 22, 1996 from the Architect-Engineer, Larsen & Ludwig at a cost of $60.00 per package, non-refundable. The number of offers received, the identity of the offerors, the amount of any one offer, or relative standing of the offer will not be disclosed to anyone except those postal personnel whose official duties require such information until award of the contract is made.
