The Federal Bureau of Prisons has a requirement for a contractor to perform electrical rehabilitation service on eight existing high mast lights. The contractor will replace existing 1000w metal halide fixtures with 1500w metal halide fixtures. Work to include the replacement of all electrical material excluding the conduit from the transformer vaults to the high mast lights. Removal of and replacement of wench assemblies, support cables, power cables, mast head assembly, luminaire ring, and terminal box, and replace according to new specifications. Removal of existing power panel and replacement with service disconnect, and other various tasks associated with electrical rehabilitation of the high mast lighting. Estimated construction range $100,000.00 to $250,000.00. Work to be performed at the United States Medical Center for Federal Prisoners located in Springfield, Missouri. Tentative date for opening of bids is scheduled for September 6, 1996 with work being completed by January 30, 1997. Plans and Specifications will be available for inspection at no charge at the United States Penitentiary, Contracting Office in Leavenworth, Kansas.
