Work includes but is not limited to the following principal items: (1) Application of Exterior Insulation Finish System (EIFS) on miscellaneous buildings; (2) Replacement of exterior doors, windows, louvered vents, and light fixtures; (3) General carpentry, painting, demolition, lead and asbestos abatement, and brick masonry installation; (4) Concrete pad and sidewalk placement; (5) General Landscaping; (6) Installation of new energy efficient windows, doors, and the (EIFS). Work will involve base housing units and other miscellaneous buildings. Ancillary work is limited to direct support of the installation of new energy efficient windows and doors. Project will have a Basic Contract Period and three Option Periods each consisting of 365 calendar days. Funds will be obligated on individual delivery orders. SIC Code for this acquisition is 1522. The magnitude for the Basic Contract Period and each Option Period is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The guaranteed minimum for the Basic Contract Period and each Option Period is $25,000. Project has been set aside as a competitive 8(a) acquisition. Competition is open only to eligible 8(a) firms in the San Antonio District. Interested 8(a) firms who are qualified above should as early as possible but not later than 15 days of this synopsis indicate interest by responding to the contracting office above. Response must include a positive statement of eligibility as a qualified 8(a) concern. NOTICE: A 20% bid bond will be required for the Basic Contract Guaranteed Minimum Amount.
