Fitch, Contracting Officer 708-216-2606 Contractor shall furnish and install all materials, equipment and labor necessary to provide & install a new automatic sprinkler system and correct Life Safety Deficiencies in Building 14 of the Department of Veterans Affairs, Edward Hines Hospital, Hines Il. 60141. (Hines is located approximately 13 miles west of downtown Chicago). Work shall include, but is not limited to the removal and replacement of damaged and non-conforming acoustic ceiling tiles, the relocation of fire door exits, hardware, light fixtures, smoke detectors, and assessing corridor wall structure and providing approved fire stopping. All work shall be performed in accordance with the specifications, drawings and all applicable codes and standards. Bid documents will be available after July 29, 1996, by written request to the Contracting Officer, accompanied by a refundable deposit check of $35.00. Bidders are strongly encouraged to attend the site visit planned for August 13, 1996 at 10:30am local time. Bid opening date is scheduled for September 12, 1996 at 1:30pm local time.
