All new piping is to be run and ready for final connection prior to removal of existing water lines to avoid prolonged period of outage to the areas being served. All new piping is to be properly insulated per specifications to include cold water pipes. Upon completion of water line replacement the contractor will furnish a full set of accurate as-built drawings on 3-1/2 disks in Auto cad 12 format to the Resident Engineer. Building 1 is located at the VA Medical Center, 2121 North Avenue, Grand Junction, CO. Issue date for the solicitation is August 5, 1996. Estimated dollar range of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. Completion time is 180 days. Solicitation packages are available August 5, 1996 at a charge of $25.00. Make check/money order payable to Department of Veterans Affairs. All responsible sources may submit a bid which will be considered. Bid opening date is September 11, 1996.
