58 -- SUBMERSIBLE AQUILA NIGHT VISION WEAPON SIGHT SOL N00164-96-R-0128 DUE 082396 POC Contact Mr Don Ellison, 812-854-5774, telefax 812-854-5095 NSWC Crane intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Litton Inc., Optical Systems Division, for Submersible Aquila Night Vision Weapon Sight (4X) in accordance with Statement of Work for Litton Part Number 550-3600-300-11, for use on the M16 (5.56mm) and 7.62mm rifles. Sight shall be submersible to 66 feet for 30 minutes. Sight shall have an adjustable variable illumination reticle. Reticle adjustments shall be audible and tactile. Sight shall be powered by 2 ''AA'' alkaline batteries. The image intensifier tube shall fully meet the requirements of the MX- 10160/UV OMNIBUS III tube. The contractor shall deliver a production quantity of 30 EA sights 150 days after contract award (DAC) and an additional 34 EA sights 180 DAC. An option quantity for an additional quantity of 325 EA shall be included with deliveries to commence 210 DAC if the option is exercised. Shipments shall be made FOB destination to the Crane Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane IN. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered.
