The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) intends to contract with
Litton Amecom Corporation College Park Maryland for a minimum of 25
voice switches to meet mission requirements under the Terminal Voice
Switch Replacement (TVSR) project. Litton Amecom is the only company
that has a fully tested modern terminal voice switching system for
which the FAA has an existing support infrastructure that can be
fielded in the required time frame to meet the FAA voice switching
requirements. The TVSR project will provide modern digital voice
switches to support air-to-ground and ground to-to-ground voice
communications between air traffic controllers and aircraft and among
air traffic facilities. This is not a request for proposal synopsis nor
is the FAA seeking or accepting unsolicited proposals. This synopsis is
