The Air Force Flight Test Center (AFFTC) at Edwards AFB, California has a requirement for a commercially available mobile, climate-controlled hazardous materials storage unit. This market survey is published in an effort to locate interested sources with the capability of meeting our requirement. The requirement is for a unit designed for storage of hazardous assets requiring climate control, MFR: Shields, P/N MRC-1000 or equal. The storage unit must include the following minimum salient characteristics: 1) be mobile (tow-bar and mounted on caster wheels), 2) explosion proof fumer fan, 3) 220/110 converter for electrical flexibility, 4) secondary containment shelves with netting, 5) anti-corrosive and chemical resistant interior and exterior coating, 6) deployable in a C-130, C-5 or C-141 aircraft, 7) approximate dimensions 21' x 8'6'' x 9'6'', 8) non spark flooring, 9) secondary containment system cap of at least 700 gallons, 10) four-hour fire rating with insulation. In addition, the unit must also include the following accessories: 1) an explosion proof heating and cooling system rated for Class 1, Groups C and D, MFR: Shields, P/N MRC-1001 or equal; 2) a fire suppression system and alarm, MFR: Shields, P/N MRC-1004 or equal; and 3) an eyewash and shower station, MFR: Shields, P/N MRC-1005 or equal. The SIC code for this acquisition is 3499 and the size standard is 500 employees.
