R -- TECH MONITORING SERVICE SOL 52SBNB6C9225 POC Diane Loeb (301) 975-6399, Sharon Farinholt (301) 975-6339 The National Institute of Standards & Technology (NIST) intends to procure on a sole source basis with SRI Consulting, Business Intelligence Center, PO Box 2516, Menlo Park, CA 94025 Tech Monitoring Service for a set of all emerging technologies. Services are required on a firm-fixed price basis for a base year with options to extend the period of performance at four one year intervals. The contractor shall provide: 1) Profiles that describe, analyze, and provide market data on all emerging technologies (currently 41); 2) Updated profiles at six month intervals; 3) Newsletter that summarizes and crosscuts all technologies tracked by the contractor; and 4) Telephone consulting services which update and supplement the modules. Delivery is FOB Gaithersburg, MD within 2 weeks after award. SRI is the only company which can provide NIST with the needed strategic planning analyses across the wide range of emerging technologies that NIST's Congressional authorization mandates that it support. Interested offerors may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requiremnts by submitting a capability statement. The capability statement must provide adequate information and qualifications to provide this type of equipemnt. All of the above must be received for the Government to consider whether to open this requirement for competition. This notice of intent is not a requirement for competitive proposals. However, all ''capability statements'' received within 45 days after date of preparation of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A solicitation is not available.
