The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) intends to purchase a PDI III card and LAN Hub for its Spectrum Automated Call Distribution (ACD) system from Rockewell International Corporation, Suite 460, 1921 Gallows Road, Vienna, VA. In order to accomplish this, OPM will be trading the following Galaxy equipment cabinets and contents: Channel Bank, IDE, Termination #1, Termination #2, Processor, Auxiliary, LSI Switch, Power & Tone, Port Interface, and Tape. OPM will also trade in various consoles and terminals supporting this equipment. This procurement is for hardware components from which the Government intends to procure from only one source, Rockwell International Corporation. Unless affirmative responses are received in 15 calendar days after publication of this synopsis indicating that a source exists which would be more favorable to the Government OPM will issue a purchase order. Responses should include current GSA contract, if applicable, and full costing information as well as descriptive literature containing sufficient technical documentation to establish a bonafide capacity to meet the requirement. No contract award will be made in the basis of any response to this notice, because the synopsis is a notice of intent to place an order and cannot be considered a soliciation document.
