SOL 96-1S6W000-00022 1425-96-SQ-11-00160 DUE 082396 POC Purchasing Agent, Shannon Clifford, 208-334-9155 The Snake River Area Office, Boise, ID requires an acoustic velocity monitoring system for the power penstock at Anderson Ranch Dam. The 15-foot diameter penstock which supplies water to two generator units exceeds 50 diameters in straight length. Thus, a single-plane four-path installation, utilizing 8 transducers, should be sufficient to achieve reasonable accuracy. The transducers should be externally removable from the penstock which passes through a 20-foot diameter tunnel. One flow-meter console should be provided with cable to connect transducers and console. The assistance of a contractor-supplied field engineer will be required for the field survey, installation, and as-built- survey for proper configuration of the system. We are looking for equipment equal to Accusonic 7500 Flowmeter System, Accusonic Division, O.R.E. International, Inc., P.O. Box 709, Falmouth, MA 02541. At this time we anticipate a sole source award to Accusonic.
