A -- RELAPSE REPLICATION AND EXTENTION PROJECT (RREP) SOL AA-96-05 DUE 090696 POC Matthew Packard, Contract Specialist, Edward Kostolansky, Contracting Officer, 301-443-1191 The National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism intends to negotiate on a sole-source basis with Brown University for a modification to Contract No. N01AA10011. The statutory authority for negotiating this non-competitive requirement is 41 U.S.C.253(c)(1) under FAR reference 6.302-1. The purpose of the proposed amendment is to complete the merger and validation of a multisite data base derived from data bases created by three research sites under the RREP. The multisite data base will have greater heterogeneity, statistical power and potential for generalizability than that provided by site specific data bases. The cross-site data are not identical in all cases. Therefore, only investigators at the three RREP sites have the knowledge of site-specific versions of instruments and protocols required to develop a valid and complete multisite data base.
